Advice Poem by robert dickerson

Advice

Life's too short, my dear, to send
Off tracts in ceaseless sallies-
Give me the man who'll fast append
His aves to his vales;

There's little, dear, that can't be said
In two score words and ten:
Therefore study brevity
And learn to make an end.
