Admiration Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Admiration

Where would we be without great art from history?
Names such as Fleming and Newton and Baird...
Brunel's Clifton Bridge would be just a dream
If not for past works from the glorious dead.

So may we be humble, thanking men for their wisdom
They lift us high, should we stumble and fall...
Great thinkers, inventors, Divine Spirit Christians
Deserve songs of gratitude ~ and praise evermore.

I like this very positive poem because of its lift in spirit and soulfulness. There is a strong flavour of owning which is flattering. Thanks - arya.
