Abused And Raped Poem by Preston Mwiinga

Abused And Raped

Amidst the chaos of life's unforeseen twists,
A young girl's body underwent sudden transforms,
Her breasts bloomed like ripe fruits, fresh and firm,
A natural progression, a rite of passage, she was informed.

Yet, unbeknownst to her, a storm was brewing within,
A first menstruation, a new beginning, but not without sin,
For as blood flowed, dizziness struck, nausea consumed,
Vomiting ensued, leaving her weak, a troubling assumption.

Unaware, she was thirteen, still a child herself,
Pregnant, yet her innocence was all she could perceive,
But hell broke loose in her life when her own mother accused,
Labeling her a prostitute, the pain was too much to endure.

Her stepfather's actions, she couldn't comprehend,
A forceful violation, her screams silenced by his hand,
Betrayed by the ones who were meant to protect,
A painful secret, she carried, her voice was repressed.

Tears fell like rain, as she bled in agony,
Crying for the abuse, her heart heavy with sorrow,
Homeless, jobless, HIV positive, a life shattered,
Her virgin pride broken, her voice was now shattered.

For the abused child, my heart cries out in pain,
A future tainted, a life marred by cruelty and strain,
Turned into a sex machine, just to survive,
My tears are for you, my dear, may you find the strength to thrive.
