A Woman's Request
I am your comforter when you cry
I am your stimulus when you try
I give heed to all your inner woes
I am a tower of strength when you face your foes
I lend you my hand when you fall down
I ease your wrinkles when you sport a frown
I catch you when you stumble
I am your words when you fumble
I soothe you when you are in pain
I am your shelter in times of fog and rain
I stand by you when you are criticized
I keep a straight face when you are critiqued
I ooze warmth when you feel cold
I am stern when you need to be told
I am your wings when you need to fly
I am your boldness when you feel shy
I will be your hope when the future dares
I wrap my arms around you when the night scares
I will be your sunshine when the darkness falls
I am your strength when the trouble calls
I comfort you when you face opression
I inspire you in terms of depression
I raise your spirits when you feel drained
I am you guardian angel in times of strain
And all I ask in return is your understanding and love
smile down and wave at me when you take a bow
hold my hand when time will make me slow
Don't look back and repent if you have hurt me
hug me and smile for I am quick to forgive
But, if you let your ego reign and pretend to be now brave
All that will remain is your tears when you drop a flower on my grave
