A Weight Poem by Acorn Tree

A Weight

A weight is upon me
Alas
Darkening my days
Fragmenting my nights
Magnifying my fears
Incontinent tears
Cutting me off from society
Unable to complain
Unwilling to explain
My workday goes on uneventfully
Nobody suspects
Alone and by myself
Desperate for acknowledgement
Yearning for reassurance
For someone's hug
Alas
I'm invisible
Alone, all alone
Alone with this weight
Help me
