A Week In My Life Poem by Heidi Wiggin

A Week In My Life

The snow is falling
Beautifully pristine
A new family

He says he loves me
I don't answer
Pretend I'm busy

Friends betray friends
The battle begins
Pick a side and loose

Egg noodles and tuna
Cooking alone
Dinner for two

I like the sensory imagery of the poem and the contrast of that with the starkness of the emotional landscape.
