A Typical Day Poem by Nick Sym

A Typical Day

Rating: 0.5

There are no mysteries to ponder,
it is all in plain open view
Like walking through a meadow,
and getting wet from the morning dew

The petals of a flower closing,
to say goodnight to the sun
To all the solar worshippers,
knowing their day is finally done

The night falls,
with it's cold blanket of black
And all the creatures resting,
know the warmth will soon be back

The blades of grass still hold their secrets,
and sway to the rhythm of the earth
For every second that passes,
there will be another birth

The sun rises slowly from its horizon,
and the darkness is overtaken by light
And a new day begins in the world of nature,
till another coming of night.
