A Twister In Chicken Soup

Since childhood, and till date
I am a non-vegetarian, by default
as I grew up, I love animals,
I have a Golden Retriever, a cat at home
I am very kindly to the birds flock,
I love feeding them, a life member of SPCA
my favourite outing is to a birds' sanctuary

I regularly visit ‘Pasumadam' of Rajastani Sangh
where old, invalid, deserted cows are sheltered
oh…….zoo is another fascinating place for me
I indeed want to touch by hand all animals kept
and I have never thrown stone at any living creature.

Fine.
now, my conscience asks me the nasty question

'why you are still a non-vegetarian?

If you really can boast of such exemplary kind-heartedness,
Where from, chicken - meat - fish -egg - come'.

It makes me guilty and speechless,

‘Jeeva Karunya', perhaps, not to be discussed on a dining table.
