A Tribute (Or An Ordinary Piece) Poem by emmanuelle sanders

A Tribute (Or An Ordinary Piece)

Rating: 5.0

They say an educator is an inspiration
If his students pursue dreams with fierce dedication.
So this poem I write for a teacher I've just met,
Being in his class I wouldn't regret.

He might be just a 'second parent' in school,
But he ain't someone you can fool.
Take it from me, I've tried it several times,
And he'd catch me red-handed in every crime.

Algebra could be a hard subject to take,
But with his skills, it's kind of a piece of cake.
Now I know, for heaven's sake,
That quadratics are not a fake.

Moody too much, you might describe him.
When he gets angry, the sky would dim.
Hey, there's a reason, and that's us.
We'd disrespect him, then we'd lose his trust.

Oh yeah, he's approachable at times,
Confide problems to him without giving ten dimes.
His advices may not be the one you expect,
But sometimes, what he says is correct.

In his class, not only did I learn math,
But also lessons in life, and sometimes its wrath.
Though I sometimes hate him for unknown reason,
His class is better that Phoenix's past season.

You, my teacher whom I appreciate,
Are the person whose poem I dedicate.
You decide if it's a tribute or an ordinary piece,
I just hope this would bring peace.
