A Traveller Poem by Aditya Mande

A Traveller

Rating: 5.0

Filled with dirt and dust
Was a simple road
Start said the mark
Everything to unfold.

Flowers were poured
Cheers all around
Track was all set
Everything to be found.

I walked the simple road
The track now being bold
Take this challenge it said
Dividing the path in blue and red

With dust on the blue
Experience said the best
The heart however argued
Taking a step towards red.

The road was a challenge
Making the heart creep
You have now decided
Just take the best leap.

Challenge in every turn
Here the experience burn
I could remember the road in blue
Where the dust showed the hue.

'Hurt? ' asked the board
And showed a dusty path
No said the heart
Tearing the board apart.

How foolish? Said the brain.
The heart could'nt sustain
Making me cry out loud
For the lost was not yet found.

After lots of twists and turns
The end said the board
The heart all confused
Brain a little amused.

A soul came in red
Handing over to me the dust
Saying you travelled the road to live
Where the blue had now burst.

The sky changed the colour
The soul now the shape
Came a man just like me
Now making me feel the rest.
