A Thousand Words Poem by RIC BASTASA

A Thousand Words

What is the use of the thousand
words?
When what she needs is nothing
but the touch of the moment

the thousand words
are the noise of the gongs

the banging of stones
the unfinished struggles
of the sands

the complaints of the thunder
the blinking of lightning

in the uselessness
of wasted gestures

marks of the water
in the realm of nothing.
