A Thousand Moons Later Poem by Hanzala Mojibi

A Thousand Moons Later

A thousand moons later
After you left
My yearning never meant thus
Your shadow haunts
Within the depths of night
My dreams of you
Never meant thus
As sudden screams
Jolt my mind
My tries to rid of your memory
Never meant thus
I lay back down
Sickened by these scares
Destruction of my yester
Never meant thus
All these days you
Enjoyed my cry
And now that slowly
My tears run dry
Are your haunts a must?
After all,
My love for you never meant thus.
