A Thing Less Kind Poem by Nyx C Styx

A Thing Less Kind

Rating: 5.0

I wait on some notion of hope
that exists as part of fantasy or myth
that at this point probably can't discern
me from who I was or who I was with
I fall again, and childhood takes one last
violent toll on my mind
and rise again, not a boy or girl
but a thing less kind

The intricacies of hope hope are aptly captured in the poem. Well conceived and nicely brought forth with insight. Thanks for sharing.
