A Stoic Against The Wind Poem by nimal dunuhinga

A Stoic Against The Wind

Rating: 5.0

He stands in the storm with a straight face like a Flagship.
An Idealist in his idiosyncratic world
and he never bows to injustice or heeds any ill-advise.
This saintly character is a maverick.
He imagines a better society; an equilibrium
and he needs deeds to change the whole atmosphere.
He goes in every street corner with his megaphone
but to his creed nobody listens.
Corrupted young generation's malfunctions and their malice
is a cause for distress to the entire world?
This social worker though he stands in the storm
cannot stand among the exorcists.
He will be chased very soon to his hallucination world
by these underworld henchmen.

In different situations and different circumstances, we all have the potential to be flawed And if we could only pause breifly in the moment before we act so senselessly then maybe this would be enough to change a whole pattern of thought and lead to a better understanding of each -other Thankyou Love duncan X

A great depiction of the world in which we live, Nimal... let your pen be your megaphone! Brian

It is often the fate of the idealist to live and die unappreciated. But I think of what Anne Frank said, 'I keep my ideals.because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.' Very meaningful write, Nimal. Sandra
