A State Of Confusion Poem by Veronica Litvin

A State Of Confusion

She'll pretend to hate you
Pretend it didnt matter
She'll be grateful you left
But dont believe her when she gets louder
She'll lay with another, and pretend it's all better
But she misses you.
That's all she can say
She misses the laughs; the bright and sunny days
She misses your song and the joy in your eyes
Which all of a sudden you seem to hide
She could unmask you
and see deep down in your lies
Alone she is a woman of strength, a woman of fire
But together she is a woman of love, a woman of desire
She misses your lips, and your brain for quick wit
she misses your soul; for you have marked hers
Interesting enough, she never let anyone see hers
With you she was different, no one else saw
You couldnt imagine her with an evil look at all
You opened her heart, for which she never even dreamed of
You taught her to love, something that was long forgotten
She is grateful for you
But you will never understand
She knows you are alone
She knows you yearn to hold her hand
But too stubborn to change
She just walks away
One day he will see
The mistake that he had made
