A Sparrows Queen; Agbo Poem by Jacob Nambe

A Sparrows Queen; Agbo

Rating: 4.3

If only she danced;
To waste would'nt go such gait,
To the music would the pleasure be
Every subtle twist, to every being, bait be.

If only she danced;
How merry will be the beads that adorn her tapered waist
Lazily acknowledging every seductive call of her moves.
That smile, at last with a partner to dance.

If only she danced;
A dance with her i might have had,
Dancing to the rhythm and beats of her heart,
Agbo the dance queen i'd call her.

If to a tune of my lips wish you to dance,
A tune there from shall not cease.
