A Smile Poem by Sheldon Moore

A Smile

I met a smile the other day
With eyes closed I can still feel
The kind that won’t go away
melting even the hardest steel

I see it resting on my chest
Lighting up a darkened heart
And in my mind it did wrest
As Mona Lisa is a work of art

It’s voice holds me tight
A lovely song to behold
A dance into the night
That smile truth be told
