A Small Something Poem by Jessica Paige Davies

A Small Something

Rating: 3.5

Have you ever done something you shouldn't have?
Something that should have never come to pass?
I'm not talking about drugs or alcohol,
Or theft or crime.

I'm talking about something else,
Something much more.
A thing that should never see light,
Yet it's not a thing.

It's not something easily hidden;
Especially if you can't lie like me.
It's nothing illicit or dangerous,
And it's not self harm.

What I can do,
What I have seen,
What I have experienced.
It isn''t the norm.

Ghosts you may be thinking,
'But they don't exist.' You might say.
'Show me proof.' You might ask.
How can I? When I don't know the answer myself.

I'm not going to say what 'It' is,
What this something is.
It's my little secret,
A story never to be told.
