A Shadows Whisper Poem by Spiritwind Wood

Once you and me had everything
all that we thought love could bring
thought we would always be forever
and nothing could ever tear us apart
but now it is all only a faded memory
of what was torn in the heart

We said it would be you and I together
but now it's only a shadows whisper
of all the words that we use to say
left in the dark of a lovers masquerade
fallen by every promise that we made

Trying to hold on to one another
just to wake to a emptiness of each day
lying there next to each other
still feeling between us all the lonely
of dreams we could no longer share
that was now no longer there

We were lost in a love we could not find
both looking with eye's left blind
on days neither of us could rewind
knowing that we just had to walk away
and leave all what remained behind
in a shadows whisper of falling tears
that wasted away on broken years
