A Saturday Evening Poem by Sunny Mittal

A Saturday Evening

I peeped through a window of his house,
the bean bags were lying turned upside down,
there were crumbled pieces of paper on floor,
and M&M's in between blue, black and brown.

There was Coffee spilled on the floor,
and there was food littered all around,
i rang bell at his door, and i dialed him,
but no reply nowhere he could be found,

I knocked and pushed little harder at door,
and it went wide open to the messings,
there was food in the kitchen half prepared,
there was salad waiting for dressings.

I searched through one by one in all the
rooms of his house and at last found him,
he was lying on the floor crouched,
no signs of any injury but sad and grim.

I went closer and woke him up from sleep,
i put his mobile and laptop on the bed,
and i asked him is everything all right?
you are looking messed up and half dead.

Ah! ! he said, glad my friend you have come,
showed me a code and said it's not working,
the plans for movie and outing went for toss,
in debugging the code went the whole evening.
