A Sad Day Poem by Ray Hansell

A Sad Day

Let's raise our glass to make a toast
To a good person who never boast

He was gentle, warm and kind
A better person you couldn't find

Always there when you needed a hand
Never alone would he let you stand

No matter the job, big or small
He'd always help you do it all

It didn't matter what the task
All you had to do was ask

So when I heard that he had passed away
It was a very sad and mournful day

He truly was one of a kind
So glad in life he was a friend of mine
