A Rising Wind Poem by robert meadows

A Rising Wind

Listen to the sound, can you hear it dear?
There it is again, moaning and howling it is getting near.
I can hear it in the valley and on the mountain too.
It is a rising wind, cold, and srtong and cruel.

Now it is upon us. We must find shelter soon.
How can it be so cold when it is only noon.
I look into your eyes and I know we've lost our way.
Alone in this forest it will be our dying day.

I can't see you breathing anymore, there is no showing breath.
It is a rising wind and it has brought our death.
Good bye my love good bye my all, you were everything to me.
It is a rising wind and it has set you free.
