A Real Friend Poem by Suzy Paxman

A Real Friend

Rating: 5.0

You're not perfect
You make mistakes
You judge and steotype others
----------------------
When you went to school that day
You saw the new girl
You try and be tough so you make fun of her
Soon everyone is, and she doesn't have any friends
You start to feel bad.

Next week you see her alone
You walk up to her everyone is staring at you
She speaks to you 'If you're going to make fun of me today can you do it later? everyone is staring.'

You reach out you hand, and help her up
' Hi, I was wondering if you wanted to be my best friend? I am sorry about what I said. I just wanted to fit, but I saw it hurt your feelings.'
You say louldy so everyone watching can hear.

Everyones jaws dropped.
She stands up and you start walking with her.
Your other friends leave you
You don't care, now you have a friend.
A real friend.
