A Promise Poem by Juan Olivarez

A Promise

Rating: 5.0

A promise is just words,
That are carried on the wind.
Produced by vocal chords,
From beginning to the end.

The wind carries refrains,
Up and far away.
Into the clouds pregnant with rain,
Thats where a promise stays.

To be borne around the world,
On mystic winds on high.
Till you need it for rebirth,
And the promised thing is nigh.

A good discription of the promise, Juan, and like a secret but more important. I promise I will read more of your work, and that's no secret, your friend Lynn
