A Poet And His Pen-I Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

A Poet And His Pen-I

Rating: 5.0

Pen is mightier than sword you call
Till it hits boulder of a brick wall,
But when you hit this point,
You wonder: what's the point,
And leave some graffiti, if at all
Instead of a poem
That makes a poor emblem—
You that thought yourself a poet tall!

An amazing and funny limerick. Limerick is sometimes hard to write. It entails wittiness and great rhyme. But the great Poet always writes limerick with ease. Wonderfully written, Sir.

...contd... I'm afraid poets here are too sensitive about feedback...any thing less than 100 per cent, or ten of ten...Hope you're not among them... Yet, there is no doubting of what you say about limericks. Thanks for the good words

Thank you so much, and I'm sure you mean it, but it occurs to me that instead of 'great poet', perhaps 'good poet' would have been a tad more plausible/credible...
