A poet's a poet, when
His feeling heart does feel pain.
But when a wary cat
He wears a critic's hat,
Ahead of heart head's all brain.
Things change with the changing time,
What rhymed ere may no more rhyme,
And in triumph he says, see,
Needless is it to blame me,
To rhyme with time is no crime.

Lovely limerick. I got me a idea. To try also a long limerick but still maintain flow and consistence like you done. That oughtta be fun in pun if done well i can tell.
