When an emotion
Can no longer remain
Within the boundaries
It takes the form
Of hugs, tears, smile
Laughter and er words
Shallow is this
Human communication
Fragile and fluid
Even a casual response
To its myriad forms
Can at times deal
A decisive blow
The more one understands this
The more does one dwell in silence!
The fragile nature of communication. The title alone is a huge piece of food for thought. Somehow deep inside I appreciate very much people who are expressing their emotion rather than hiding them. But as I read through poem, I was thinking of the child who expresses completely unhidden all its own emotions. The immature person of whatever who thinks what he feels is so important that everyone needs to know. The more mature person who realises that our emotions are just tools for our soul. As I have grown older, so true, I have and would like to become more of listener to emotions than an expressor. I appreciate very much the last two lines of the poem. Wow, your poem really made me think. Good poem.

'Casual responses dealing decicive blows' seems to be somehow imbedded in my nature, or at least the nature of my literal relationships, which for such reasons never last (as if they could) . That was entirely readable and remarkable.
