A Poem On Jagannadh

Rating: 3.0

Sea of people
Stand in reverence
And surrender
Their hands outstretched
To relieve them of
The wheel of karma

Krishna ensconced,
The Juggernaut trundled
Each trundling
Rolled past the karma
Of several births
Waiting to be undone

Jai Jagannath! Jai jai Jagannath!
Danced on the waves!

Trundling may roll past the karma but Jagannath originally heralding from Orissa, Puri- your neighbouring place has by history cut hands.Cut hands can bless! I am not sure.In Hindu ideologies people use hands to bless the younger generations. But the anthologies and frankincense.........celibacies and adorations are a panorama of thoughts evoking good feelings. And to fulfil the desires of stomach, the fruit prasadams and sweets and eastern r southern regional confectionaries.Of Karma-salvation is only people`s inner self. Not Jagannath. No Jesus. No Jagadambe. No Jains. No Jummas. No Jai Santoshi or Bholenath baba.No Jacobs or Joshuas. No Jahura Kalimatas. All joys lest people have the highest education to understand them for the saddest reasons of their karma-fights, worries, rapines, deaths, sorrows, borrows, loans, losses, hatreds, brutalities, taints and now in one day you want to become saint or sankt to forget all that stings before you.Salvation is something that is achieved love`s way but not a way to exhibit love for God. 'Dhhai kiri kiri Jagannatha Tumohu suchona tumohi sthhapona Damru dhholak darbuk tumohi mono koriyachhu byanjona'...dhhai kiri kiri dhhai kiri kiri-excerpts from glimpse of my childhood memory of a holiday visit 1986-to Puri-Jagannath once part of Kalinga 2400 years back on history.Dhhai kiri kiri means 'faster faster-striking a Jagannad memory chord. The above Devanagiri scripts which are memoirs from the people of Orissa-the neighbouring state from Andhra Pradesh adjacent to coast came off fresh with it silver jubilee after 25 years with old and new India and thoughts.Like 1986 was not poet Babbellapati. It saw a girl in her 20s dreamed on with contemporary men to reach some kind of salvation today though men went their ways off seeing your way through.
