A Poem From The Heart Poem by Eddie Fullbright

A Poem From The Heart

Jesus, I pray you help me write a poem to you.
You see I just do not have any words that will ever do.

I want to start by thanking you for loving someone like me.
How you saved this sinner and so many others on Calvary.

On you I always want to rely and depend.
With you I have learned there is no greater friend.

You have always been there to get me through.
With you Jesus, there is nothing I can not do.

On earth and Heaven I will sing your praise.
Strive to know more about you all of my days.

I know you came to earth and on the cross you took my place.
You were beaten and whipped for me, yet you hold and love me in your embrace.

You were placed in a cold, dark tomb for three long days.
The grave could not hold you, death did not have the final say.

I can never understand a perfect love as you have shown.
I accept your gift of eternal life to you I will always belong.

When it is my time to come face to face with God above
I will stand with my lord Jesus and his perfect gift of salvation and love
