A Poem About My Dad Poem by Emo Kitten

A Poem About My Dad

Rating: 5.0

I realized something with a shudder,

And I started to melt, as quick as butter.

You don’t love me, you don’t even care.

You never even bought me something to wear.

You’re not gonna come and rescue me,

You’re never ever going to really see.

I hate you because you don’t love me.

You’re my father, shouldn’t you care?

I look around at everyone else and think, life’s not fair!

You don’t love me, you don’t hate me.

you’re selfish and twisted, cruel and mean.

Why can’t you love anyone but yourself?

We barely even know each other, put the drugs back on the shelf!

You drink, you drug, what happened to you?

You lie, you break promises, I don’t know anymore what is and isn’t true.

I don’t know what’s wrong with you, can’t you love?

All you gave me were your hazel eyes.

I’ve gotten sick of all the lies.

If I died would you come to my funeral?

Or would you be passed out drunk in the back of your Jeep?

These are the thoughts that deprive me of sleep.

It kills me how much you don’t care.

It makes me feel weak, vulnerable, and bare.

But whatever. If you want to be a bum, then be my guest,

Just know that’s not my plan
