A Place Froze In Time Poem by Eric McDonald

A Place Froze In Time

To my Loving Wife Marina

There once was a place frozen in time
where dreams are real and often sublime.

A city named Landstuhl, hides this magical place.
Church and castle in the landscape over-flow with God's Grace.
.

This place far away, but ever so close
Is the place that I think of, that changed my life most!

On December the ninth in two thousand and three
I ventured here late at night and prepared much for thee

Champagne with a ring and a question to ask
Tears of happiness with laughter, once I completed my task.

My new wife and new life would I take from this place
My frozen castle and church, teach perseverance in life's race.

My family would grow and my life would unfold
but my frozen in time place would never grow old.

Each picture we took through the ages would show
how God brought us back to you, so that we would continue to grow.

The Lord made us realize and keep this is mind!

That these frozen in time places are really hard to find.

Our kids will come back here and we pray that they say,
That our parents loved deeply in a frozen in time way!

So each of us should find a place frozen in time and live life to the fullest so that we too will find.

The joy of the years in front of our eyes and the heavenly blessings in church and castle skies.

...........in a place frozen in time.
