A Phone Call Poem by Rose Muniz

A Phone Call

Rating: 4.0

A phone call I get
about you being sick,
Is the day I was sick,
A phone call I get
about you being in
the hospital,
Is the day I was working,
A phone call I get
about you having CANCER,
Is the day I got worried,
A phone call I get
about you getting worse,
Is the day I cried,
A phone call I get
about you, asking when
will I come to see you,
It's answer I gave if
I'm not working,
One day at a church,
A phone call I get
about you, that you died,
Is the day I ran out that church
crying,
as I fall to the ground
saying NO it can't be,
but it was true,
but knowing your in a
better place,
but Miss you forever

a common story, I'd say, as so many of us have had such a sad experience.. a nice lyric, Rose, and a loving tribute to your Aunt..
