A Past Came Calling Poem by Pen Anthony

A Past Came Calling

Same demons torment me
Same ghosts haunt me
A past i had forgotten came
All staking a claim on my sanity
I recall not how to rid myself of them
I am too tired to fight ol' battles
I'll give up
Let them have a piece of me
Hoping they won't finish me off
My past is calling
Blowing up my voicemail
I have to answer.
