A Painful Farewell Poem by Bireswar Halder

A Painful Farewell

Rating: 5.0

I spent my whole life pampering your innocence and loving self
I become crazy to get you back as I love you from core of my heart
I have to sacrifice all my dear ones because of this weeping heart
I search you in the recesses of my heart, memories crowd around me.

How much you are inaccessible? I needed some tricks to enter your world
So ultimately I got you through some stratagems and crooked plans
You are like my dream girl and always I think about your strength
With you a man can fulfills desires, but someone may also mope without you.

Alas I get warning to release you but I am fully reluctant
I am threatened for severe punishment if I keep you secretly
But I have a deep attachment and truly I love from core of heart
And I hug tightly so that none can snatch you away from me.

A physician diagnoses that you are in throes of the final hours
And one midnight you are suddenly declared dead and valueless
I am fully confused, I frantically run all around like a lunatic
How can I bear this thunderous shock of leaving you?

Oh dear let me bury you secretly with tearful eyes forever
Alas! I didn't have time to see you grow; only I hid you as a showpiece
My whole life is wasted running after you, it`s my misfortune
Lie down peacefully, my hard earned black money to escape pains.
