A One Night Stand...Wish I Could Have Lasted

I finally got to taste the sweet nectar I've long to reach
For all others it seemed to come easy… The moment was there and in a panic I failed
My mind went blank I wasn't all there… My heart began to rush and stop
I didn't remember what I was supposed to do, Everything I wanted to try
My body just seemed to lie there in complete confusion, consumed by feeling
All the things I thought I might never feel, It and everything else felt so surreal
tender kisses, held so tight… best kind of teasing I started to come alive
Question if everything taking place could possibly be real…
but the moment came to pass and how I wish more than anything it could have lasted
But here I am, in a dreamer's haze… Can't believe how amazing this fraction of time became
But now he won't talk to me, my heart once again feels empty…
Love I did not feel but I was hoping it might be a regular deal
That maybe he could begin to feel something more…
But he was the one who closed the door… but my tears have yet to pour…
Only because I knew it was nothing more

oh, how your heart breaks, your words reveal heartfelt moments that you only hoped for, and as would have it, your love, your feelings, were left outside his door. Slamed shut, unable to face to face, your regret, only that he was not the right one as you thought. Now, you question yourself, and wonder if the next time will be what you hoped and dreamed of, ... will there be a next time? A next one? Maybe, not anothe One Night Stand. A one man band... You can hear the drums beat... no wait- that's your heart! -Very nice write Olivia! Very raw and naked words, exposing your vulenabilities, and emotions. Great Ink! ! ! -Kelly.
