A One Legged Stance Poem by Liam ó Comáin

A One Legged Stance

pale morning light
silhouettes
a crucified form
growing from
the centre of a field

a protector in the wake
of night rain fluttering
in a harsh wind

threatening
black forms
quarreling
upon the limbs
of nearby trees

a wild scene
symbolising
a coming abundance
