it's one of those rare winter nights
when it's not freezing cold
but crazy windy weather
rain poured down the whole day long
lightning flashed in the sky
and there is a sense of danger
yes this weather really scares me
I feel my heart beat faster
and I long for peace and calm
yet it is winter, it's to be expected
the temperature is dropping like crazy
and I know winter is purple pink and violet
How you reach into the backroom of my vision and pluck the vistas of my iris and craft this lovely poem. I'm in Ontario and right now as I type this its -10 with a wind shield factor of twice that, the wind is howling like an armada of ghosts and the skies are bathed in purples and violets. You write the beauty of what I am living, and the one advantage you have is I don't feel the coldness. Thank you Rachel for letting me appreciate this gift of mother nature, all I need is coco and its a great night. Delightful as always!
A very beautiful piece indeed! I love your description of winter! THe last line is really amazing! Well-penned!
Hello Rachel. Your poem made me shiver, exactly as a night in January should be, at least in some parts of the USA. I loved the last line... I enjoyed, Loyd C Taylor
... you miss the sun right: p Winter here is messy too... there's lots of fog here... so even in a clear day.. the sun does not show up...
yes this weather really scares me I feel my heart beat faster and I long for peace and calm Beautiful winter poem shared on really. This makes new thought in winter in mind.
