A Naked Woman. Poem by Thomas Bates

A Naked Woman.

A naked woman
Lay dead in a room
Of exhausted candles
After having spent the night
Basking beautifully exposed in their light
While hoping
That before the final flame had died out
Someone
Would find his way there
To see
And accept
Her.
