A Miracle Poem by ANGELA WILSON

A Miracle

I had my twin's at the age of seventeen,
I really was so scared.
But once I saw my little girl's,
there was nothing that compared.

God had given me such happiness,
that I was thankful for.
Two girl's that are so wonderful,
two girl's I do adore.

My happiness it was short lived,
as my little girl grew sick.
But she was only four week's old,
still I needed a doctor quick.

That day was the worst of my life,
they said that she would die.
She would not last much longer now,
Oh God please tell me why.

I held her hand and kissed her face,
as time passed in a blurr.
I felt so helpless and confused,
God why were you taking her.

The time was dragging slowly by,
but she was holding on.
I was thankful that she was still here,
but the doctor's said she should have been gone.

My baby girl was fighting it,
they said it's impossible! she should be dead.
But I was holding her in my arm's,
she was smiling at me instead.

A miracle they called my girl,
a miracle in every way.
An inspiration to us all,
and I thank God that she is here to stay.
