A Message To The Other World to: My Mom Poem by Wasan H Ibrahim

A Message To The Other World to: My Mom

My most cherished...
I am your eternal child
Who embraces memories
From falling into the well of oblivion
Who can only communicate with you
Through longing and yearning …
Wishing some wind would carry your voice...

Death closes all doors
But the door of your love and kindness...

If I had the choice
I'll go back to those days...
When you were holding my hand
To cross
The roads
Of life…
And when we used to sip your aromatic coffee
Made with love…

In spite of being so delicate,
You were my source of strength and asset.
Now, powerless and helpless, that's what I feel...
Like a vehicle that has lost its steering wheel.

Yet, don't worry, my most cherished…
Your gorgeous and delightful face
is my forever sunshine
to pass across the dark caves...
Your pure and white hands
are my leading stars
to get through the maze of tunnels…

Sincerely, yours...
