A Man's Life Poem by Edward BJohnson

A Man's Life

The life of a man lasts a while
though age accepts new accents now
a chained soul chased ceaselessly.

The incessant irritation of extended existence
corrodes happiness callously; continuously
painfully persisting, as per the plan.

The life of a woman lasts a while longer
formidable and unfailing while staying afloat
against the audacious assimilation attempt.

Beautiful rendition of words to utmost justice. An insightful philosophical piece of poetry nicely encapsulated with conviction. Thanks for sharing Edward and welcome to Poemhunter.
