A Lover's Well Played Suit Poem by Terence George Craddock

A Lover's Well Played Suit

Rating: 5.0

youth love eternal optimist
spied his love laid his plans
not with false hopes dreams
not with inaction patience
but with reality aided by psychology
his love lure incorporated a simple recipe
a pure heart laced with romantic sincerity
played his court with traditional simplicity
youth good looks charm
manners polite conversation
prepared a lover's suit
with a little help from friends
chocolate, flowers, a bottle or bubbly
yet better still the right eyes chemistry
