Love, brought to me by a stranger,
Like the tide, washed over my heart,
Waves of contentment swept my shore,
A reef of darkness, ripped apart
A stranger, unknown to my eyes,
Became a mirror of my heart,
Tenderly reflecting my love.....
Causing a strange yearning to start
He brought with him a sweet bouquet,
Flowery words he knew would delight
This lonely heart seeking beauty
In my world of darkness and blight
He sang a song, and it pleased me,
Dispelling my nights of despair,
My heart swooned hearing such sweet words....
The angels might call it a prayer
He offered me his loving heart,
Tenderly, he joined it to mine,
An angel then kissed my forehead
As witness to a love divine
He brought life to my dying dreams,
And soon, a wounded heart was healed,
I caught a glimpse of Paradise.....
When I thought Eden's gates were sealed!
