A Little Brighter Poem by Reginald Goodridge

A Little Brighter

My light has been low
Low, so low, no glow
What shine, mine no more
Glimmer, gloss, gone, -noire

I plead, I beg, yes
come back light, breathe breath
make me feel better
help me forget her

allow me to fly
climb high, cry, then sigh
let go of all hurt
be free, to tease, flirt

low me down, easy
then crank me up, me
I, yes I, -oh I
no longer wish to...cry

Reg, I know these feelings all to well. So... free I will be.
