A Lion In Dark Shadows Poem by Steven Harris

Im a lion
an unnoticed lion
i roam the world unwatched
alone looing around for a friend
never finding that friend to love
im a lion with a pride
without a pride.

There are other lions like me
they all down away at the bottom of a bottle
a lion i am
maybe if i roar some others might hear me
no that wont happen.

Im an unwatched lion
lonely without a pride
im lost, afraid and cold
i'll just do what all the lions do
i'll sit in the corner
i'll there with a glass
a glass and a bottle

i'll let this lion die
i'll let him fade away
into the dark
into the shadows of the dark nights
im a lion
did you see me.
