A Life Without Love Poem by Tina Rizk

A Life Without Love

My love,

A life without love
Is an endless desert
No flowers, no butterflies
Harshness, drought

A life with love
Is an endless field of roses
Fresh morning breeze
Waterfalls and seas

And yet love has
To start with oneself
Self-love is a journey
That goes a long way

Your unconditional love
Subtly touches my heart
Softly fills the gaps within its cracks
And tenderly embraces it
Which is helping me heal, for real

They say each person needs
At least one person in their life
Whom they trust blindly
And with whom they can
Speak about anything

Thank you for being that person
For me, my sweet tender soulmate
My greatest gift from fate
