watching the clouds go by
laying in the sun.
thinking how another day is passing by.
hoping it will not be a waste.

watching as people go by
walking having fun
wondering what they feel and see.
hoping they are not a waste.

the trees grow old,
losing leaves then gaining them back.
letting you know when a new year has come,
one more year of your life.

eveything is changing
nothing is ever the same day from day.
like a cloud or a popcorn kernal
each day is different.

only one lifetime
to make it the best.
don't let it pass by,
you'll never get another.

like a passing cloud
you watched that summer day
you'll see it only once
take it in as much as you can.
