Hey my love,

Where are you today?
I'm alone and you're away.
I hope you haven't gone too far,
Not that you could in that car.

Hey my love,

I hope you're doing great.
Wish we could talk but it's getting late.
The sun has set and so must I,
Now I wish you a loving goodbye.

Hey my love,

Today my heart is sore;
Two officers were at my door.
The look on their faces were a dead giveaway,
The Lord has taken my love away.
