A Letter In Red Poem by Biswash Ghalay

A Letter In Red

Rating: 5.0

With a white sheet
filled with marks of pen
there rose a squall from the lady love
her eyes sighted marks of red
a spill of blood there shattered
where she viewed
the body of her brave man
clustered on a bandage
crumpled inside a blanket

Her oral fissure whispered some words
where it read -'Suraj dead'.
'He was a brave man'.

Her face grimaced
rambling started her gesture
her hand folded the letter
a flux of tears her eyes had
in a motionless seizure, she remained,
with a letter in red

Her vision takes a flight
of the days of happiness
where a lady of a dauntless man
she adressed herself
where from dawn to twilight
there led a wait for a letter
from her brave man

Dribbling in change
from felicity to lugubriousness
her heart with bravery was overtaken
with affright
numb turned her
the letter in red.
