A Leopard's Daydream Poem by Philo Yan

A Leopard's Daydream

Rating: 4.0

Leopard leaps on branch to crouch
Motionless stance in thick tall trees
Scans the scene in nonchalant slouch
Coolest cat in the blowing breeze

Leopard's eyes feels heavy
Breathes slowly a whispering sigh
enjoys an afternoon of lazy
as the temperature rises high

Leopard's hazards a daydream
rests his head on a fallen tree
lays beside a running stream
Drowsy, languid, so peaceful and free.
